At Vision Source in Magnolia and Aldine, TX, our optometrists offer a range of services to help you see clearly and preserve your vision. Vision Exams

During a vision exam, we utilize a specialized device known as a phoropter to assess your sight at various magnifying powers to determine if there are any impairments with your distance vision. We'll also perform an astigmatism test, which consists of our optometrists asking you to look at different images and determine which one is clearer. Sometimes, other testing is performed during this time as well, such as a visual field test to assess your peripheral vision.

Eye Exams

We also provide eye exams to learn about your eye health. Our optometrists often perform these along with your vision assessment and the exams you'll receive depend on your age, health conditions, and any known eye problems. For instance, we'll perform a retina assessment with a dilation test, which uses a specialized magnifying device. We will also conduct the puff test to evaluate the pressure in your eye. 

Contact Lens Exams

Whether you're getting contact lenses alone or in addition to glasses, we can perform a fitting. Unlike an eyeglass fitting, we can't determine the size you need without a specialized device. For this reason, you'll look into a machine that will provide us with the measurements for your eyes. 

Dry Eye Treatment

We also provide dry eye treatment at our optometry. While both of our locations can offer treatment, at our Magnolia office, we have a Lumenis IPL machine that uses light energy to target the root causes of dry eye and reduce your symptoms. 

LASIK Prequalification and Co-Management 

If you're considering LASIK eye surgery, you can visit our office so we can determine if you qualify and provide you with a referral. Once you have the surgery, we can work with your surgeon and monitor how you are healing and your vision.
